Our partner Thomas’s Fulham
Thomas’s state that their most important school rule is ‘Be Kind’ and we have seen that value in action time and time again since our partnership began. From the tireless fundraising efforts of the PTA to the generosity of parents and the enthusiasm of pupils and staff, we’ve been in awe of Thomas’s can-do attitude!
Thomas’s fundraising highlights
- Club Tropicana Summer Party at Chelsea FC
- Dads’ tag rugby tournament
- Parents’ tennis tournament
- Children’s movie night
- Parents’ pub quiz
What’s more, parents generously provided all the presents for our children’s Christmas party in the hospital. Pupils have got behind the charity with fantastic fundraising of their own. Eleven-year-old Jacob cycled over 100km on a tandem with his dad in South Africa, raising more than £1,200, and a number of children climbed Snowdon with their dads, raising over £3,000!
Our charity’s involvement
So far Thomas’s Fulham has raised over £11,000 which we’ve used to fund vital instruments for our children’s surgical robot, Pluto, as well as infrared vein-finder devices to make blood tests and cannula insertion easier and less painful.
Rebecca, our Charity Manager, led the children in a lively and interactive assembly and our nurses will be running a fun workshop at the school soon.
We are loving our partnership and are so thrilled to be Thomas’s Charity of the Year 2018, thank you.
